Training

Why training matters

A system is only as strong as the people who operate it. That is why training and knowledge are not a side topic within quality. They are a foundation. Whether it concerns food safety, audits, or labelling, without knowledge there is no compliance. Without skills, there is no control. And without awareness, there is no improvement. Training and knowledge do more than build expertise. They strengthen engagement, ownership, and quality awareness across all levels of the organisation.

What lies beneath

Knowledge of food safety is not a one time transfer. It requires:

  • Repetition, deepening, and practical application
  • Learning through different formats such as classroom training, digital learning, and peer learning
  • Attention to both technical and personal development
  • Alignment with daily practice as well as organisational strategy

Training only delivers real value when it goes beyond knowledge transfer and leads to behavioural change and impact.

Leadership means investing in people

Organisations that invest in knowledge and talent development build sustainable quality.

Leadership means:

  • Recognising that learning is a structural part of quality assurance
  • Supporting and challenging employees
  • Leading by example in learning, adapting, and improving

Quality is driven by people. And people learn by doing, understanding, and taking responsibility.

Three levels of development

Compliance | Basic training in food safety and quality

Training employees in the fundamentals of food safety, including hygiene, HACCP, allergen management, and prerequisite programmes. The focus is on awareness, correct task execution, and understanding the purpose behind procedures. Formats include classroom training, e learning, practical assignments, and assessments.

Compliance+ | Advanced QA expertise

Providing in depth training for QA teams and specialists on topics such as BRCGS, IFS, root cause analysis, internal audits, and label verification. Focus is placed on role development, measurable competencies, and preparation for audits and customer requirements. Formats include tailored programmes, blended learning, and coaching.

Strategic | Future ready QA organisation

Developing a strategic learning plan for QA teams, with focus on leadership, communication, change management, and the human side of quality.

The goal is an agile, capable, and engaged QA organisation that is ready for the future. Formats include organisational analysis, team development, leadership training, peer learning, and DISC.

What it delivers

A strong learning and development programme provides:

  • Increased quality awareness across the organisation
  • Stronger performance during audits
  • Reduced risk of errors and deviations
  • Improved collaboration between departments
  • A resilient and future ready QA team

Knowledge is not a cost. It is an investment in quality, safety, and success.

Where do you stand?

Is training just part of your planning, or is it at the core of your quality strategy? Does your offering align with your risks, ambitions, and people?
